March 11th, 2010 DietPills-thatWork No comments

Why You should Take Advantage of Online Dieting
It is a stunning fact that over 64% of the United States population are overweight, 25 % of us are obese. European countries are a little better yet they weigh in at a whopping 48% overweight.
Wow, we are a bunch of heavy weights and we are definitely not in fighting shape! The real frighting trend that is noticed is how so many young people are overweight and even obese. Before school age children are even teenagers many suffer from the serious side effects of being overweight. Asthma, Diabetes, Fatigue and Migraines just to name a few. Since younger people imitate the examples they learn at home, we as adults need to do something about our own weight issues.
Although a daunting task, most people are able to find ways to lose weight but keeping it off for any length of time, much less permanently, seems next to impossible. This experience is referred to as Yo-Yo dieting and is even more unhealthy than not losing any weight in the first place.
Interestingly, recent research at the Brown University Medical School and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association indicates that online, Internet-based weight loss programs can help people lose weight, including those at risk of developing diabetes.
The advantages of online dieting become immediately obvious when you think about it.
At the top of the list is convenience and complete privacy. Most of us just do not have the time to get involved in “face to face” counseling or some type or “group therapy “and because of these constraints on our time, online dieting is a nice fit. Trying to lose some weight could be a more personal matter that usually we do not want to advertise to every one we know and again, online dieting is appealing in this context.
The above mentioned strategies can be very expensive, becoming a financial burden to maintain for any length of time. The advantages of online dieting are many but what about the “How”?
How do we take advantage of online dieting?
We need to remember that not all online diets are created equal.
5 Point Checklist to Keep In Mind When Taking Advantage of Online Dieting
? Should promote healthy eating and exercise habits that can be maintained long-term
? Should not contain advertisements for various food products (brand names in the meal plans)
? Should not require members to purchase certain weight loss products or supplements
? Should prominently display the “Terms & Conditions” of the site
? Should not sell mailing lists or other information to third-party vendors
Conclusion:
Taking advantage of online dieting has never been an easier and more cost effective solution to our weight issues.
The benefits of shedding a few pounds are enormous and well worth the effort. Millions are taking advantage of online dieting and since the online dieting industry is very competitive there are some really quality programs out there.
The Internet can be a valuable tool when used correctly. Why not use it to take advantage of online dieting. You will be glad you did!

Get The Low Down On Low Carb Diet Foods

March 10th, 2010 DietPills-thatWork No comments

Carbohydrates come from a wide array of foods – bread, pasta, fruits, doughnuts, ice creams and pie. Carbohydrates refer to a group of molecules that is made up of small sugar units composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. They are needed by the body and therefore included in our diet as a major source of energy. Some carbohydrates are simple and are made up of small units of sugars while others are made up of several units of sugar arranged in chains or branches. A healthy diet cannot go without these molecules.

Carbohydrates give body cells the source of energy to support all their activities. This is the reason why when the body’s sugar level is so low, the person experiences a feeling of weakness and lack of energy. This can be observed with diabetics when their blood sugar level go below the normal level. They also provide us with fiber, one of nature’s brooms to purge the body of toxins and waste materials. However, one major concern in carbohydrates is that when they are taken in excess, some of them get converted to stored forms such as fat and stored in certain tissues of the body, usually under the skin. This accounts for pot bellies and love handles and other unsightly bulges on certain areas of the body.

If you are very serious about trimming your waist and dropping pounds, one diet program that you might want to try is one that is low on carbohydrates. Low carbohydrate diet programs are quite popular these days in the form of the South Beach Diet, Atkins diet and Zone Diet. Basically these diet programs promote one thing: restriction of consumption of carbohydrates.

This is on the basis of researches that show the connection between high carbohydrate consumption affecting blood insulin levels to cause metabolic syndromes and obesity. Low carbohydrate diet programs therefore limit or replace foods rich in carbohydrates with those that contain more proteins, fats and fiber. In a low carb diet, there is less bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, and cereals. They usually eat more vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, and nuts. When one opts to go on a low carbohydrate diet, one has to replace carbohydrates with fats and proteins. Carbos in fact make up less than 10 percent, and in some cases, less than 5 percent of the daily calorie intake.

Low carbohydrate diet for one, go for foods that are low in sugar. Processed sugar should be greatly reduced, if not totally eliminated from the diet. Low carbohydrate diet food is made up mostly of vegetables, more specifically non- starchy ones. A serving of at least 3- 5 cups per day is highly recommended for this type of diet.

Protein is also an essential parts of a low carbohydrate diet so foods rich in it are highly recommended. One low carbohydrate but protein rich food is soy – based food like tofu and certain meat substitutes.

Fruits that are low in sugar are also tops in the list of low carbohydrate diet foods. A serving of 1-3 per day is enough. As much as possible, it is recommended to eat the fruit itself and to not simply drink the juice to also meet the body’s need for fiber and vitamins. Fruit juices also tend to increase the body’s blood sugar so it is best to eat the fruit instead.

Nuts and seeds as well as legumes are also some low carbohydrate foods that can be included in the diet. Nuts and seeds are even used by some to replace starchier foods. They are also excellent source of healthy oils and fiber. Legumes like beans and peas may contain carbohydrates but they are those that can easily be broken down and digested so there is no need to get rid of them entirely. The same thing is also true for whole grains like brown rice and whole grain pasta.

As for oils and fats, a low carbohydrate diet opts for oils coming from olives as well as from fish. Fish oil is rich in omega-3 which is good for the heart. So eating more fish to get the full benefits of omega 3 and protein is highly recommended too.

Going on a low carb diet does not necessarily mean sacrificing a lot of food and getting deprived. It simply means shifting to foods that are less in carbohydrates and more on proteins and even fats. The foods included in the low carb diet are even more flavorful since they contain proteins and fats.

Winning Tactics for Giving Up the Diet

You might disagree, but hear me out on this, if you’re thinking of going on a diet to lose those extra pounds think again. Long-term weight control through dieting is near impossible, for the simple reason is that diets promote only short-term solutions not long term.

After dieting you’ll certainly look lighter on the scales, but in most cases this is because you’ve dumped a few pounds of body fluid and muscle, and not because you’ve lost any significant amounts of body fat.

One of the main reasons diets don’t work is because they send the body into starvation mode – a survival mechanism for times when humans faced periods of famine. Cutting back on our energy intake causes the body to lower its metabolic rate, which reduces its ability to burn fat.

At the same time, hunger signals increase and we quickly start to crave high energy foods loaded with fats and sugars – the exact foods we are trying to do without!

Alarmingly, research has shown that repeated dieting actually makes it harder to lose weight and easier to put it on.

This is because when you dump the diet and return to normal eating habits, the drop in metabolic rate caused by the diet means that your old eating habits actually represent excess in calories.

Not only do you regain the fat stores just lost, but you may even gain a bit extra.

Five more reasons to stop dieting

* Diets sap energy – Too little food means not enough energy for

physical activity.

* Diets lower your metabolism – Dieting causes your body to

conserve energy, making results harder to achieve.

* Diets are unhealthy – A cycle of rapid weight loss followed by

weight gain can lead to a loss of lean tissue from your body

and calcium from your bones. It also strips the body of

essential

vitamins and minerals.

* Diets make food the enemy – Food provides nourishment and

comfort. Diets can make you afraid to eat, depriving you of one

of life’s pleasures.

* Diets cheat your confidence – Going from one failed diet to the

next can leave you feeling depressed and create a cycle in

which guilt battles against food.

Regular physical activity and a healthy, balanced diet aren’t as glamorous as the quick fixes, but they do get better results.

Start with one extra exercise session and one less fatty takeaway meal per week, and gradually work towards a lifelong plan for achieving your best weight.

If you change the way you eat or exercise to lose weight, ask yourself this question. Can I see myself sticking to this routine for life?

If the answer is “no” then its time to change what you’re doing. Any healthy weight loss plan should include the following:

* A wide variety of foods.

* Regular and enjoyable exercise.

* Enough filling foods to avoid constant hunger.

* At least 1200 calories a day.

* Flexibility for treat foods and social occasions.

* A realistic goal of your best weight (not necessarily your

lowest weight.)

Fact

A realistic weight loss is around one to two pounds per week. Fast weight losses are not fat loss but glycogen and water. If you lose weight quickly then you will probable

return back to the weight at which you started as quickly as it was lost.

Fiction

* Weight loss is quick and simple.

* Exercise is not necessary.

* Certain exercises can spot reduce.

* Carbohydrates (for example, bread, potatoes, rice,

and pasta) are fattening.

Eliminate calorie-dense foods such as cookies, sugary desserts, chips, fries, pizza, candies, crackers etc.

Research on people who have successfully lost a lot of weight and kept it off long term, shows that the vast majority succeeded by consuming a low fat diet high in fibre coupled with strength training and cardiovascular activity.

These are the basics you’ll need to aim for.

A sound weight loss-eating plan should:

* Be nutritionally sound, providing all the nutrients you need.

* Never promise fast weight losses.

* Offer an eating plan based on real food.

* Allow you to eat out.

* Avoid expensive meal plans, products and supplements.

* Not avoid carbohydrate foods, e.g. bread, rice, pasta, cereals

and potatoes.

* Make gradual dietary changes.

* Provide knowledge.

* Allow you to eat all foods

* Recommend physical activity.

Fat calories are more fattening than carbohydrate calories. Your body can easily convert the fat you eat in food into body fat, so to lose weight you need to cut down on fats and foods that contain it.

Consider the following steps to reduce fat in your diet.

* Use skimmed or skimmed milk in drinks, cooking and on

cereals.

* Buy a non – stick frying pan.

* Buy a cheese slicer

* Cut the visible fat from meat.

* Eat very little pastry.

* Learn how to read a food label.

* Substitute low fat yoghurt for cream.

* Remove the skin from chicken and turkey.

* Eat fruit as snacks rather than eating chocolate and biscuits.

* Eat fewer burgers and sausages.

In conclusion the way to lose body fat and maintain muscle is to have a food program for life and more energy output. Increase the amount of fruits, vegetables, non-fat dairy products, whole grains and beans that you eat.

South Beach Diet and the Atkins Low Carb Plan

Review:

The Atkins Low Carb Diet is based on eating very few carbs (especially during phase 1), and we believe that it’s one of the strictest weight loss plans on the market, and it’s probably one of the hardest to follow low carb programs ever created.

There is no mistaking this program for anything other than an extremely strict low carb plan which will sap your energy very quickly, since it only allows 80 carb calories per day during the first phase. That’s less carbs than you’ll find in a decent sized apple.

This program is not for the faint of heart.

What about the South Beach Diet?

The South Beach diet is also a fairly strict low carb program (during the first phase), though perhaps not quite as strict as the Atkins program. But we also believe that the South Beach plan is too strict to be practical for everyday dieters, since it’s no picnic either and it has the potential to sap your energy during phase 1 with the severely reduced carbs.

For example, we’ve observed that the higher carb foods (on the South Beach menu) are severely limited in portions during the first phase of the diet and this prevents a normal amount of carbs from being eaten during the first phase.

In fact, the only foods which dieters are allowed to eat in “unlimited portions” (during phase 1) are protein foods and super-low-calorie vegetables.

For example, the South Beach menu allows unlimited lettuce during phase 1 but yet it limits the portions of “tomatoes” and “onions” and “peanuts”.

Additionally, the “sweet snacks” which are allowed on the South Beach menu are limited to a mere 75 calories per day during phase 1.

Can you believe that? Only 75 calories of sweet snacks per day? That’s almost ridiculous.

So although the South Beach plan allows so-called “sweet snacks” they are limited to just 75 calories per day (that’s less calories than a typical cookie contains).

So although the South Beach program is not as strict as the Atkins diet, it’s our opinion that both diets are fairly strict and we believe that both are difficult to follow for average dieters.

Plus, both diets seem to have no “end” in sight since both the Atkins plan and the South Beach diet never allow dieters to return to a normal carb lifestyle (where carbs don’t have to be closely watched).

These 2 diets do gradually allow more and more carbs to be eaten as time goes by of course, but even after 6 months dieters are still told to watch their carb intake to some degree each day.

So it’s a major lifestyle change which is required by these diets, and many dieters will find it difficult to never be able to enjoy carb filled restaurant meals which can be eaten completely “as served”.

So overall we think that both diets are not very practical for average dieters, since we believe that most people will find it difficult to modify their entire lifestyle forever. We therefore strongly recommend against using the South Beach and Atkins programs.

3 Hour Dieting

In the world of dieting there are hundreds of diet, weight loss, and fitness plan options out there on the market. It takes years for some to become a contender and others remain a best-kept secret of sorts. One such best kept secret would be the 3 Hour Diet that was designed by Jorge Cruise. I’ m sure some of you reading this are thinking “Yeah right, there’s no way you can lose weight just by eating every three hours”. You might be surprised to learn that the science behind the theory is a common one and the diet’s creator, Jorge Cruise, is a mainstay in the fitness industry.
The basis of this diet is that if you don’t feed your body regularly it will go into what is called starvation mode. This basically means that your body will hold on to fat rather than burning it up. In essence, your body is burning muscle rather than fat to get the energy it needs in order to function because muscle is easier to burn.
With the 3 Hour Diet you won’t feel hungry all the time. There are many people who on the diet who claim they have to constant set alarms and remind themselves to eat. You’ll also learn the right foods to eat in order to achieve the best possible results. The key is in learning which foods are the best to eat dieting with this plan. You can purchase the book The 3-Hour Diet by Jorge Cruise and you can sign up online for more information about the weight plan itself and how to incorporate it into your busy routine.
I would recommend purchasing the book if you are seriously considering this as your method of dieting since there are many great hints, tips, and tricks mentioned in the book to help you keep things going no matter how busy and hectic your lifestyle may be. One thing you need to keep in mind is that dieting with a program such as this is no small commitment. You need to stick to the timetable as much as possible in order to achieve the results this plan is famous for. If you aren’t willing to eat every three hours then this plan really may not be the plan you’re looking for.
On the other hand, if this is something you think you might be interested in, you should check it out. There are special considerations based on your current weight and the amount of weight you are hoping to lose. It’s best if you are honest throughout the process in order to achieve the best possible and most immediate results. The claim is that you can lose as many as 10 pounds in the first two weeks. Many people claim to have done just that over and over again. This is a diet that even many celebrities endorse for quick and immediate results.
The good and the bad about 3 hour dieting is that it is effective but takes a very real commitment on the part of the one that is dieting. This diet is one that is taking the world by storm. If you haven’t heard of it before now, please take the time to check it out and see if this is something you could incorporate into your life. The results that have been reported as a result of this diet as nothing short of phenomenal. If you hate feeling hungry when you’re dieting, this diet plan just might be the one for you.

Low Calorie Diet Programs

The Anti Diet Food Diet

The grapefruit diet, the Atkins diet, the no fat diet, the no carb diet, the magic leprechaun diet …okay I made that one up but you get the point. these days there are all kinds of special magic bullet diets vying for your attention. And it is inevitable that the vast majority of people that try these diets are eventually going to fall short of their overall fitness goals. A lot of these diets require special diet foods and strict rules of eating that are just not practical. It is not reasonable to expect to always be able to have a magic diet bar around in every situation. Furthermore who wants to eat special food and be labeled as a dieter anyway? Not me that is for sure. It is bad enough to look in the mirror one day and realize that father time and taco bell have finally caught up with you. We do not need everyone else paying attention to that sort of thing by having to lug around some special shake or bar in order to lose weight.
For these reasons and many more it is very important to look at losing weight and dieting as a natural part of your daily life. You have to take away the thought that dieting is some special thing you are doing in order to lose a quick ten pounds and look at it as a natural and permanent change in the way you eat and exercise in order to live a healthier life. On top of the motivational and long term affect it is actually going to be healthier for you to just eat natural food instead of some special diet food anyway. I mean have you ever seen a super diet bar 4000 growing on a farm somewhere? Do they have super diet bar 4000 plants in some country I have never heard of? I do not think so. Those things are just processed food and not as healthy as whole food anyway. Natural food is the way to go. But what is natural food anyway?
Natural food is just what it sounds like, food that you would see growing (or walking) somewhere in its natural state. The most obvious form of this is fruits and vegetables. Tomatoes can be eaten raw and they do not look any different on your plate than they do growing on the vine. That is natural food. Sure it can be processed a little. Tomato soup for example is a form of minimally processed food. It is still natural but it is not exactly as natural as a raw tomato. In terms of dieting and losing weight the more natural the food is the better. When something is overly processed it is going to be more dangerous to your health. Twinkies for example are a good example of a processed food. Pretty much everything in them is processed in some form or another.
Eating natural food instead of diet food is a great first step to a long term and successful diet. Sure there are other things that you need to do in order to have the biggest impact such as monitoring overall calorie intake and adding in some exercise, but just eating natural food is a great way to start dieting.

Learn How to AVOID Spending Hundreds of Dollars Needlessly, Risking Your Health And GAINING WEIGHT By NOT Going On A Diet

Do you realise that currently American women are spending more than $40 billion dollars per year on dieting and diet related products? Other countries suffering from the current obesity epidemic such as the U.K., Australia, Canada, and Germany are also spending huge sums of money on the same.

When you consider the real risks of going on a diet it is hard to understand why modern women are ready to spend a small fortune seeking the body they crave. Then again, when you look at the scrawny anorexic super models and “media personalities” who stare out of magazines and newspapers at us perhaps it is easier to realise why today’s modern women are prepared to spend nearly the same amount as a bank in trouble demands from the government.

How many of you know that dieting can lead to eating disorders? Those of you that did can have a gold star. Those that didn’t had better pay attention!

If you go on a diet in an attempt to lose weight and you fail then you classify yourself as a failure. When you go on to a diet, the fuel that your body needs to function properly, FOOD becomes your number one enemy. The food that you like, cream cakes, chocolate, McDonalds are forbidden and the foods that you don’t like, rice cakes, low fat cheese are O.K. diet foods. A lot of dieters find that every encounter with food results in tension and stress. In an effort to reach their target weight the dieter is not prepared top stick by their diet. They adopt other tactics and maybe indulge in a bit of bulimia. Or when they look at a full length mirror instead of seeing “skinny Minnie” they see a little fat person and they welcome good old anorexia. Or they might think to themselves “Oh what the heck…” and then go on a binge eating session.

Of course, these are the extreme risks of going on a diet. However, other more common risks that occur include what happens to your body when you try to lose a substantial amount of weight in a short period of time. The heart of this risk isn’t with losing subcutaneous fat, (the pinch an inch fat) but with losing the fat which protects your lean organs such as your liver and kidneys. When this happens it puts a strain on these organs as they try to retain their normal function. Ultimately the dieter can suffer from organ failure. Imagine waiting for a liver transplant and some one asks you how you’re in this position. How stupid would anybody feel if the answer was “I overdid my diet.”

Diets which ban certain food groups such as low carbohydrate diets, nil fat diets, high protein diets etc are all unhealthy because they are depriving your body of the correct combination of essential food groups as are diets that prescribe 800 calories per day or 1000. A healthy diet typically requires 50% of your calories come from healthy carbohydrates, such as whole grains, vegetables and fruit. Similarly 20% comes from protein such as chicken, eggs, cheese and 30% from GOOD fats, mainly poly and monounsaturated fats but some saturated and fish oils.

If you deprive your body of carbohydrates you can actually promote malnutrition. If you go on a high protein diet you can stress your kidneys. A high fat diet can lead to heart disease. Whatever diet you follow, if it brags “lose a kilo a day” remember the initial weight loss will be mainly water. This in turn can lead to dehydration and ultimately muscle waste age. What do you need to help you burn fat? MUSCLE. No muscle equals negative fat burning.

No one who promotes diets informs you of the simplest fact of all, because if they did it would have a negative impact on their earnings. DIETS DO NOT WORK!

When you go on a diet you are cutting down the fuel your body needs for metabolism. (the number of calories your body needs to perform its everyday functions such as breathing, digesting food etc.) When this happens your metabolic rate slows down. (Therefore you don’t need as many calories!) You hit your target weight and you start eating normally again. HOWEVER you r metabolism is still running at its reduced weight. Guess what happens next? You got it! The excess calories you take in are stored as fat and then what happens? Have you got it? That’s right, it is stored as fat and bingo, and you now weigh more than you did when you went on the diet! Ah well, better go on a better diet this time! Guess what, the same thing will keep happening until you change your lifestyle.

Change your lifestyle! What do you mean? What I mean is changing the food that you eat. Cut out the unhealthy sugary, processed, trans fat laden junk that you have been eating in the past and start eating healthily. Don’t sit on your butt all day! Go out and EXERCISE. Start gently and gradually and build up to it. Also do a bit of weight lifting to build muscle. Remember what we said earlier on, muscle helps burn fat!

Don’t look at rapid weight loss, aim for a pound per week. If you don’t like weighing yourself measure your waist, and see how soon you can fit those great pants, skirt or dress you haven’t got in to for a couple of years. If you do weigh yourself do it at the same time on the same scales on the same day every week.

Remember an exercise regime plus healthy diet beats dieting every time (AND you don’t have to go hungry!!)

Finally, a word of caution. If you are seriously overweight before you do anything IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.

Dieting Fads and Their Impact

As the years pass by, the statistics of overweight and obese people grow more and more alarming, since it increases at a very rapid rate. If this goes on, the world will soon be full of fat people, including todays children and the generations to come. This is why weight loss programs and means has become some sort of an obsession for health and fitness experts including developing quite a number of wonder diets.

The term dieting fad has been coined because of the sudden popularity and explosion of these so-called wonder diets, due to the fact that obesity and weight is being carefully looked at by society today.

A fad, according to the American Heritage Dictionary, is something that is taken up with great enthusiasm for a short period of time. Several diets can be considered fads due to their sudden popularity, although it does not necessarily mean that it will remain as popular after several years go by.

Atkins Diet

One of the more popular dieting fads during its time (not as popular now, but still continuing) is the Atkins Diet, developed by Dr. Robert Atkins. The main idea of this diet is to take in a low amount of carbohydrates, which increase minimally for every phase of the diet (there are four phases). Many people believe that the Atkins Diet was responsible for the revolution of the current diets which are mostly low-carbohydrate diets.

Dr. Atkins believes that a main factor in causing obesity is refined carbohydrates, mainly white rice, refined sugar, flour, and the like. Eating too much carbohydrates can cause oversecretion of insulin, which leads to food cravings, which ultimately leads to weight gain. According to the Atkins Diet, by faithfully following its guidelines, it will eliminate that particular process, which prevents you from gaining weight and ultimately allowing you to lose it much easier.

It has been said that the Atkins Diet is most effective for the first six months, with not much of a difference after that. Health wise, studies have proven that it increases good cholesterol levels and lowers some of the risks associated with heart disease. This is unlike crash diets and other diets wherein you will lose weight, albeit at the expense of your health.

South Beach Diet

Another dieting fad is the South Beach Diet, so aptly named because it was developed in Miami, FL, by a heart specialist Dr. Arthur Agatston. His focus in developing this diet was to help his patients, stricken by various heart ailments. However, its health benefits have been documented, not to mention the rate of weight loss, which has made this diet popular with not only heart patients, but with the whole world.

The focus of this particular diet is the consumption of good carbohydrates and good fats.

Are there such things as good carbs and fats? The answer is yes, according to Dr. Agatston.

Good carbohydrates are the ones that are high in fiber content, such as brown (organic) rice and wheat bread, just to name a few. White, or refined rice, is discouraged as this is considered a source of bad carbohydrates. Good fats are basically poly and mono unsaturated fats, while bad fats are saturated and trans fats.

The South Beach Diet aims for its followers to consider the diet as a way or part of their lifestyle, and not simply a means to losing weight. It stresses that weight loss is a positive result of the diet, but that other health benefits can be achieved by faithfully following the diet. That is why this diet does not restrict on the amount of food to be taken in, just the type.

How to Achieve Weight Loss

Diets such as the Atkins Diet and South Beach Diet can be very helpful in allowing you to lose weight; however, it does not stop there. Proper and constant exercise is highly encouraged to experience the full benefits of these diets in relation to weight loss. One without the other is an incomplete way of achieving your goals.

Many dieting fads will come and go, while some will generally be accepted in society, as is the case with the two aforementioned ones. Before deciding whether to pursue one diet or another, it would help if you consult experts or your physician, especially if you have an illness.

Useful Information about Fad Diets

If you aren’t happy with what you see in the mirror but don’t want to harm your health with some crazy fad diet, try these tips that might help you take off a few pounds in a healthy way:
– Why not consult a physician? A dietician can have a good background of your health and thus advise you of a fitted diet for your health condition.
– Water as have been said, remains to be a good cleansing element for the body. Water theraphy is a good treatment that’s also good for your skin. Drink lots of water and get rid of those toxins!
– When you’re hungry; there’s a greater tendency to indulge on overeating on a latter time so please, don’t skip meals.
– Exercise! Try to jog or brisk walk at least 30 minutes every single day. This is also good for your heart.
– Do no go into crash diet; slowly aim in losing 2 or less pounds a week. Sticking into a faster but harder diet can get you depressed and thus intend you to give up easily; the result? You will gain more weight.
– Learn while dieting! Read good books on how to count your calories; how to choose or make of delicious but nutritious foods that do not overdo your weight; etc.
– Learn the value of discipline. Obesity may also be aggravated by people who do not monitor their diet.

When all your efforts have been wasted and you finally decided to go with the flow; there are numerous fad diets available today. Fad diets are food selections which you will have to follow in a regular pattern. Select the best way to loose these calories! Here is a list of the latest fad-diet:

1. The Atkins diet suggests you to lessen your carb intake. So you’ll say, this is quite easy; all you have to do is eat milk, cookies or ice cream with low carbohydrate! Well, think again, with atkin diet, there are surprisingly 2 dieters who already died due to health problems such as kidney stones, constipation, increase of blood acidity, etc.

2. The Blood type diet is quite interesting too! If you’re Blood Type is O, you require meat in your diet; Blood type B needs dairy products whereas those under type A need vegetables. Most people do not know their blood types leading to poor diet; but on the other hand, a balance diet is vital for a healthy body. So consider this, will the blood type diet be effective if you’ll loose some foods needed for nourishment?

3. You can also try the South Beach diet. This diet will not limit your intake of food; however, it will discourage you to eat those processed foods with saturated or high fat components. As a replacement, having large servings of vegetables and whole grains in your meals are highly recommended.

4. Soup Diet. As the name implies, your meals will be composed heavily of soups! It can be chicken and cabbage soups which can be accompanied by little servings of steamed vegetables, fruits or brown sugar.

5. The Chocolate Diet sounds tempting doesn’t it?! Included in the menus are the well-loved chocolates, popcorn and pasta. Just make sure that pasta sauces have low fat ingredients and that fruits are included in the recipes. Excluded are sodas or alcoholic beverages, oily or fried foods, caffeine, foods with high calories and high sugar content etc.

6. You can also choose the Fruit juice Diet; the well-known is the Grapefruit Diet. You will have to follow the prescribed diet with fruit juices, some low-carb meals and a good amount of water for 18 weeks. A recent survey shows that many patients who undertook this diet lost more than 10 pounds in a 12-week average diet plan.

So now that you have a list of pretty good dietary programs, which is well-known nowadays, the moral will all lay in your hands. Good amount of discipline is necessary; and precautious moves should always be on a top priority.

There are a lot of ways to stay fit, it is your choice on whether to stay obese and unhealthy or be happy and strong! You owe yourself and your future family a longer life span and sustainable health which can be useful for you and the society.
